Too much phone?

1. Why do students need access to mobile phones in the classroom?
If they don’t have computers or Ipads they would need them for google drive, maths and reading games

2. Are mobile phones too complicated? What are the advantages/disadvantages of cramming so much technology into a mobile phone? Use a T-chart to show your thinking.
If you know how to use it no but if you don’t it can be very complicated

3. How have the developments in mobile phone technology directly benefited students in classrooms?
They can use it for school games like sumdog and poppet.

  1. Why do you think the author starts the article with a rhetorical question?
So that it makes the reader get interested and so they start thinking about what the article is about.

  1. Do you agree or disagree with this article? Explain your thinking.
I agree with most of it but they are useful for school if you are using them sensibly and for the right things, but sometimes people be silly with them I also think that they can be very frustrating and complicated.

Persuasive arguement

Camp strikes back!

I want to say that we should have camp because we learn about the outdoors.

Firstly, camp does build new skills inside you. It makes you a much stronger person, it makes you be able to do more things. I know this because I have been on camp at Mountain Valley.

Secondly, we need to become risk takers Rory McCallum also says we need to experience and overcome FEAR.
Fear stands for False, Evidence, Appearing, Real .

Thirdly, we have teachers that plan the camp and make everything thing perfect. Mrs Cameron says “Its takes heaps of work to prepare for camp it is not all about pack your bags and go,all the planning is worthwhile. You also get to see another side to your students’’.

Finally, we can fundraise to keep costs down we could also go to another camp like Guthrie Smith which is $25.00 per student ,per day also includes accommodation and all activities.

I believe that we should have camp so we can take risks ,become better learners and learn more that stuff so we become better and stronger.

Song Lyrics

Daffodil Day

Verse 1:
Daffodil day is coming soon just a day away,
you better save up some money so you can put it in the bucket,

Saving all these poor kids in the hospital,
donate some money a dollar will do,
I have no cash where's the machine,
Do you have some money I could use,
maybe in that bucket over there,
over there.

Chorus:
Daffodil day daffodil day,
The flowers are beautiful,

Daffodil day daffodil day,
the money is worth it,
so don’t take it back,

Let the daffodils grow,
Daffodil day is important.

To the tune of let it go.

P.E.

We have been doing soccer for P.E and we play a games called Four ball soccer and the first time we did it was a little bit out of control and the balls were every way.

People were getting hit in the face, tummy and all over the place.

We learnt to kick the ball with the middle of your foot and aim start and the person in your team.

Zoo's

For zoos
Against zoos
so that any animals that have be hunted they can be looked after.
Animals should be able to grow up in the wild so that they learn to live by there own.
so that they can be happy and live for longer.
Because the cubs will not learn to live in the wild.

Against Zoo’s

I think that there should be a reserve for the animals like tigers, lions and all the other wild animals at the zoo.
Animals should be able to grow up in the wild but after about 4 year the can come to the zoo if they are being hunted.
The cubs should be able to grow up in the wild with their parents.

My First Horse Show

                 My First Horse Show.

“Mum what happens if I mess up? What happens if I jump the wrong jump or if I go the wrong way?”.
“You will be fine now hop on and warm up, then I’ll come and put some jumps up for you” Mum replied.
I saw all the jumps and I felt like I was the youngest- I was only seven.
I went to warm up, there where a lot of horses and ponies and they all looked stressed, my horse (Cricket) was as calm and cool as a cumber.
I lined up. The girl in front of me knew us but she was not nice. When I said ‘hi’ she pretended that she did not hear me.
Then in no time at all it was my turn. I walked in and started a little trot, I circled and flied over the first jump clear, We cantered some more, I could hear my horses hoof going squelch through the mud.
Here comes the next jump up, over the second jump. Here we come up to the third  jump “bonk” the rail came down. I was so disappointed, my heart sank.  I was feeling like I was going to clear the first three jumps, but we both just rubbed the rail.
I went through the rest of the course hoping there was no more rails down.
It was just 1 rail down. For my first show That is not bad.
